TO: HOSPITAL MANAGER, MATRON PRO MARKETING MANAGER FROM: COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT – Lindie Moss DATE: 20 JULY 2011 RE: HASA AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE - Quality in Action is Service Delivery INVITE FOR ENTRIES
The annual HASA Awards of Excellence are part of the esteemed Ministerial Healthcare Awards, mainly touted as the Oscars of health. They are issued to HASA member hospitals and ambulatory clinics that excel at excellence, go beyond the call of duty, and have world-class projects worthy of recognition.
Each winner receives a Certificate of Excellence from HASA. Winners of the Awards of Excellence are selected by HASA, based on the following criteria:
Awards are issued in the following categories 1. Promoting equity in healthcare / keeping healthcare affordable – for projects that go beyond the call of duty to improve access to quality healthcare. 2. Involvement in or service to local community – for projects that keep a strong presence in their communities, and work with their immediate communities. 3. Public / private sector co-operation – hospital projects that serve as an example of how the private and public sectors can work together in easing up access to quality care. 4. Establishing world-class medical services or technology – this is to recognize hospitals that set up new and innovative devises and ways of improving the quality of medical care and reduces length of stay. 5. Marketing of the private hospital industry – projects that market the SA private hospital industry as an institution of high standards, quality and excellence.
Hospital Managers (or their delegates) receive the Award of Excellence on behalf of their private hospital staff in a gala event that includes the minister of health and other dignitaries.
The articles can be emailed to contact@hasanet.co.za or lindiemoss@hasanet.co.za for the attention of Lindie Moss.
We have received correspondence from the organizers of the Ministerial Awards of Excellence and therefore we need all NOMINATIONS regarding the Awards of Excellence to reach us not later than 30 September 2011.
