Medico Legal

This page is the nucleus of all laws, bills and regulations that have an impact on the delivery of public and private healthcare services. It also includes for the industry strategic and operational needs as far as the health law is concern. Despite regular legislative update on health related law and policy, the page also renders free legal advice not only to members of the association but in the Hasa spirit of information sharing all visitors. HASA SUBSCRIBES TO THE COMPETITION LAW. At all times HASA members must ensure their compliance with related legislation and/or regulation, and in particular must ensure that with any discussion with any individual, institution, body and/or association, that their representations are compliant with Competition Law (see the Competition Act [Act No. 89 of  1998] ).

Update on Sections 55 and 56 of the National Health Act, 2003 relating to the
removal of blood or other tissue, together with section 68 which
permits the Minister of Health to make regulations relating to tissue,
cells, organs, blood, blood products and gametes, has been
promulgated. (In other words, has become law, as of the 17th of May
