Please note that at this time the office will only respond to the very pressing of matters. Nonetheless, Hasa grabs this opportunity to wish you all the best as you begin the festive season. Indulge responsibly, have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy new year.

Message from the CEO
My congratulations to the finalists of the HASA National Health in Excellence Awards, held in Sandton in November, all of whom have shown exceptional commitment to the provision of excellent health care services. Each year the nominations get more and more difficult to adjudicate, as the standards and innovation of members is of such a
high quality that it is difficult to choose one winner.

For this reason all the finalists should be extremely proud of their successes and the fact that these initiatives have been recognised and acknowledged by the Minister of Health is testament of their achievements. Special congratulations to our overall winner The Walter Sisulu Paediatric Cardiac Centre for Africa for promoting equity with their drive to ensure needy children with heart disease access life-saving medical-surgical treatment. What makes this initiative so special is that the foundation draws their list from the waiting lists of public hospital all over Africa thus ensuring children who would otherwise not have accessed this quality care were treated free of charge.

Special mention also goes to eThekwini Hospital and Heart Centre and Netcare Unitas Hospital as the joint runners up. To all members of HASA, we look forward to your future nominations in the categories recognised by the Association, and ask that you submit these throughout the year.

May you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Keep safe and be blessed.
